El Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Waxhaw

Love the food at this place! It's a bit run down on the inside, but it doesn't bother me.... as long as they have good food and good service. The wait staff there are very attentive and quick. I highly recommend this place!

Food was excellent. Service was great. Serving sizes were big.

I truly do love this restaurant. Their menu changes somewhat frequently but they mostly stick to reusing the same ingredients in different combos (and I have found most to be agreeable). They have something for everybody and allow most meals to be altered to the customers liking. Overall good food and decent enough service for an establishment of this sort.

Excellent!! We had a large group of people and they got every order exactly right!! Impressive! Especially considering we had a few orders with special requests. Big proportions too, I think we all had leftovers, enough to make a second meal for each person. Will definitely go back next time we're in town.

Fantastic authentic Mexican cuisine. The staff will go out of their way to make this an enjoyable experience. I have been going since the year they opened.

Genuine Mexican food. Genuine Mexican staff. Genuine Mexican hospitality. Every time we've ever gone the weight still got to our table within 2 minutes and the meals got to our table within five minutes after we order them. We thoroughly enjoy this place. You will too.

Great authentic Mexican Restaurant. Had the Carne Asada and it was exceptional. Service was also very good.

Very bad service. If you check my reviews I always get great service and awesome food. I even post pictures of my food. Im not picky at all. I gave them a second chance and is like they are racis with " no Mexican people". The place wasn't full at all but it take forever to bring my refill. Then, when I try to pay the girl just walked away even when she saw I had my card ready to pay. Im a busy hard work guy...Seems like they didn'tnt want to work. Very disappointed.

Good Mexican..... I was happy with the quality and quantity of food presented for the money. The surprise was the White Queso cheese dip. WOW!

This is the best Mexican food I've had since I relocated from Chicago. The food is terrific, the prices are reasonable and the service was wonderful. This is my go to Mexican restaurant for sure.

This El Vallarta is always awesome. You can always count on the food to be perfect. I love eating here because you know what to expect.

Good food, attentive service.

El Vallarta has your standard array of Mexican-style food and the food is pretty much what you would expect from such a place. Good drink specials and margaritas. I have had some bad service on some of my visits (not very friendly, not attentive, very slow service or all of the above). That aside, I still think this is the best local place to go for Mexican food.

Food is good but not outstanding. Service has definitely improved since the last time we were in. Still good for a quick bite but not somewhere we seek out.

Hung up on twice and ignored the 3rd call. Usually pretty good place but the lady taking the order had a thick accent, asked politely to speak to someone else and was hung up on, called back, hung up on again, called again and ignored. I was never rude to her, we just couldn't understand each other.

Our favorite Mexican place in the area. Authentic Mexican food at a good price. Can get crowded on the weekends.

Fun park kids enjoy all the new equipment. Zipline is their favorite. The only thing it was too hot on slides. No shade - did have ceiling fan on under pavilion. Would be even better if the Splash pad was over by park or some type of water area.

We ordered chicken/steak fajitas and they gave us only chicken and no dip for chips the food is good but I would like to get what I pay for

I do not like to give a 5 on any restaurant. This one comes close. My family loves this place. It is the best value in Waxhaw for dinner. I have gone there had a meal and a drink for less than 7 dollars(less than 10 with tip). The service is great. It can get crowded especially on Wednesday nights when they have Taco night. A great variety ranging from about 1.50 to 3:50 dollars apiece. Chips and salsa are always complimentary. The close weeknights at 9:00. Open 7 days a week. I also like their fajitas. In fact I like everything I have had on the menu.

My family and I moved to Waxhaw in July and we've been to El Vallarta a dozen times. Food is very good and the adult beverages are wonderful. I LOVE their regular Margaritas and my wife gets the Sangria every visit. Lastly, prices are very reasonable and we've had excellent and attentive service EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Our favorite restaurant ever!!! Great clean friendly great friends great family that owns the place food is always great hot and fast!!!!! We eat here at least 3 times a week if not more!! Sometimes just going to have a cold beer and hang out with our friends and sometimes just meeting new friends!!! Duh we are all going for the same thing!!!!!!! If we there was a rating of 10 I would give them a 10!!!!! I would be lost if this place ever changed ownership or shut down!!!!! We love our EV❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Food is great. Service not so great. There are never enough menus so we have to share. Had to ask 3 times for silverware. We asked for no beans on a plate and it had beans. We sent it back and they just scraped the beans off. I guess at least the margaritas are good.
